SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR // PASTOR

PETE SHAMBROOK

Hi my name is Pete and for the last 25 years I have had the pleasure of walking alongside hundreds of people on their faith journey. I have served as a Pastor in several churches over that time period and have had a front row seat to the struggles in the lives of those that I have walked with. The fact of it is that their struggles are all too familiar, for they have also been my struggles. I have discovered the fullness and freedom of life in Christ that has brought me into untold measures of hope and it is my greatest joy to see others experience the abundant life that Jesus has called us all into.
I hold a Masters in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot seminary which has given me language for the experiences of life; particularly the ways in which people grow spiritually and what tends to get them stuck. From my perspective, there is nothing like watching people discover the often hidden things that have been holding them back from being ignited and cut loose into the abundant life that Jesus offers us.

I have been married to my beautiful wife Patti for 34 years and have three grown children and two beautiful daughter-in-loves: our son Dane and his wife Lauren, our son Connor and his wife Varya and our daughter Sophie. We are also expecting our first grand child in January 2022.

My Other Passions: I am originally from Australia (or as we say, “Straya”) and living an active life has always been a high value. Some of my physical passions include surfing and Crossfit and one of my least favorite things is sitting on a hot beach doing nothing (though my lovely wife would prefer nothing more). I know that sounds crazy to some of you but I would much rather be in the water doing something physical. I love big dogs, ice cream, DQ, coffee with my wife and being together with all of my family. Just to be clear, I wouldn’t necessarily put them in that order because that would get me in trouble.

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST

PATTI SHAMBROOK

Hi! My name is Patti and I have been married to Pete for 34 years and I have been on a journey with the Holy Spirit pursuing wholeness and freedom the last 6 years and it’s been amazing! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice and love integrating my faith and experiences along with the research based approach I take.
I have seen the power of God break through in my family’s lives in significant ways through prayer and understanding the authority we get to walk in.
It is my deepest desire for everyone to experience wholeness, which led us to create our intensives and curriculum and forming CedarHouse Institute. When we understand how we are formed and how we get free and partner with the Holy Spirit in our healing, walking in our true identity nothing is ever the same! Our materials have been the result of years of training, healing, research, and integrating body, soul and spirit.
Some things about me personally- I love celebrating. I love making things pretty and environments for people to feel comforted and at home. Pete and I have always connected through coffee dates and dinners dreaming and planning what’s next in our lives and living out the calling God has given us together. I love the dreaming stage of things and all the possibilities. Life can be hard but I’ve learned to take my eyes off circumstances and keep them fixed on Jesus always hoping and believing. I’m pretty fulfilled when I get to decorate and create or being alone reading and learning. Traveling for mission to Uganda has been where I have felt most whole. Quality time with my kids and family is one of the best parts of life and doing ministry with them even better! If I could have us all live on one big plot of land I would, except they probably wouldn’t agree to that! I have the best friends where we can belly laugh one minute and go deep the next. I’m a night owl and love staying up late watching “Friends” and eating a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios with my girl Sophie and her friends. I’m from Canada and hate the cold but love the country and all my wild and wonderful relatives there!
My greatest joy is our three grown children, Dane, Connor and Sophie, and the blessing of our daughters in love, Lauren and Varya and soon to arrive baby Shepherd who we are all going to be obsessed with!

INNER HEALING // TRANSFORMATIONAL COACHING

DANE SHAMBROOK

Hello, I’m Dane! My journey of healing and freedom took a different route than most as I went on an unconventional journey of self discovery led by a dream and an inner voice pushing me to find the meaning of truth. That path eventually landed me all the way in Uganda where I radically encountered the presence of God and the inner voice of the Holy Spirit that had spoken to me some years prior. It was here in Uganda where I met my wife Lauren and remained there for close to two years as we walked alongside mother's and children who had undergone some of the most horrific traumas imaginable. My experience in Uganda fueled a passion and fire in me to see others all over the world experience the same transformation I have. My wife Lauren and I continue to pour our time and energy into seeing others gain access to the same tools that have renewed life and awakened the dreams within so many around us. I love to create unconventional spaces for others to gain greater awareness, self discovery, and action so that every person is empowered to step into their larger story!

INNER HEALING // TRANSFORMATIONAL COACHING

LAUREN SHAMBROOK

Hi, I’m Lauren and my journey of transformation began at the age of 26 when I experienced a radical physical healing and deliverance from an auto immune disease. This healing propelled me into my next phase of transformation which was learning how to reconcile the emotional and relational conflict in my life. After my own healing and deliverance, I began my training in pastoral care, inner healing and deliverance ministry. When I turned 30, I responded to a prompting from God that lead me all the way to Uganda to work with women and children who needed the same healing I had experienced. It was in Uganda that I met and married my now husband Dane Shambrook. After living in Uganda for two years, we decided to move back to Orange County, California where we are currently living out an assignment to see other men and women encounter complete restorative breakthrough both physically, emotionally and spiritually.
